Grupo Falso Baiano is the Bay Area's premier Choro group. Their recent CD release "Viajando: Choro e Jazz" has won them critical acclaim and a strong following. In the classic Brasilian tradition from the 40's - 70's, when choro "regional" groups accompanied singers in a samba style, Grupo Falso Baiano welcomes special guests Ana Carbatti, and Jorge Alabê, both natives of Rio de Janeiro, for a joyous night of classic sambas composed by Cartola, Beth Carvalho, Candeia, Paulinho da Viola, etc"
